Hoyle - Ontario Highway 11 Homepage

Hoyle

Hoyle is essentially an intersection town about 2 minutes east of Porcupine, 18 kilometres northeast of Timmins. While there used to be more of a community, with local farms and such, these days it's a little small. There's a fire hall, community centre, and few houses around on the back road short-cut to Iroquois Falls.

In the summer, there is a resident right around the main corner that sells fresh vegetables from their oversized garden - highly recommended if they're around, and if theyr'e still selling.

Hoyle is the site of the Hoyle Pond Mine, one of two remaining gold producing mines in the Porcupine country.

I was wondering who is mining in your area of Hoyle. I was using google earth and can see the pits, but cant find any more info then that, Im just curious as a heavy equipment operator if they hire or how so to get in. If you can help me out on info it will be greatly appreated thank you
