Shabaqua Corners

Shabaqua Corners is a small hamlet on Highway 11 west of Thunder Bay. While I have never been through Shabaqua Corners, a reader informs me that that nearly every vehicle travelling through Ontario goes through this spot as there is no other way to get through Northern Ontario from out west.

As in most truck-stop towns, Shabaqua Corners has a local diner, an LCBO, a gas station, and a store. There used to be a hotel in town...Chris emailed to tell me that it is still open.

I was trying to locate a phone # for you but I have had no luck. I was there on Sunday around 6:30pm and dropped my purse out of the car. I thought I had picked everything up but unfortunately when I got home I realized that earlier that day I had put my ring inside the purse and I believe it had fallen out when I dropped my purse. I was wondering if anyone had turned it in.
